The Hungarian Santa Mikulás (Me-ku-lash) visits
children on December the 6th, St. Nicholas' Day

Instead of hanging stockings by the fireplace,
children put boots in their windows. If a child
has been good Mikulás fills the boot with candies,
walnuts, dates, tangerines, apples and chocolate

If the child has been naughty the boot will contain
an evil figurine, but since no child is all good or all
bad most get an evil figurine and treats
